CARP or VRRP ?

Hello,

As the router at our hosting center only updates it's arp tables every
4-hours and don't respond to gratious arp, our failover loadbalancer don't
work quite as expected ;)

Before I begin testing, it would be nice with some oppinons on ways to solve
this issue.

Is there a preffered method, are you using CARP or VRRP or ???.

I'm running Ultramonkey3 on Debian stable...
